Synergrid C10/26 list: is my inverter on the list – and what if it is not?
What the Synergrid C10/26 list is, why grid operators and inspection bodies require it, how to read reference, firmware, Smax and restrictions correctly – and how to check a device in seconds.
Short answer: the Synergrid C10/26 list is the Belgian register of every inverter, hybrid inverter and battery system homologated under the technical prescription C10/11 (Annex D). As a rule, the grid operators (Fluvius, ORES, RESA, Sibelga) accept only listed devices at registration – in the listed firmware version. If a device is not listed, the only route left is an individual proof of conformity against C10/11, which the grid operator has to accept. What is the Synergrid C10/26 list?
Synergrid is the federation of Belgian electricity and gas grid operators. The prescription C10/11 defines the technical requirements that decentralised generation units (PV inverters, home batteries, CHP, wind) must meet on the low-voltage grid: protection functions during grid disturbances, frequency and voltage behaviour, power control.
The C10/26 list is its practical result: manufacturers have their devices tested against C10/11; approved device types are published with reference number, firmware version and technical data. Synergrid keeps the list up to date as an Excel file; the current edition refers to C10/11 edition 2.4 (15/10/2025).
Why the list matters for registration and inspection

How to read a list entry
Each row describes one combination of model and firmware. The key columns:

Why the firmware version counts
The protection functions under C10/11 are software. A device running a firmware other than the listed one counts as not homologated at registration and inspection – even if the model itself is on the list. Check the firmware on the device or in the manufacturer's app and compare it with the list entry.
Interpreting restrictions correctly

Plug-in solar and plug-in batteries: the same list
Micro-inverters and plug-in batteries up to 800 W – Marstek, Zendure, Anker Solix, HomeWizard or Hoymiles, for instance – must also be on the C10/26 list, usually with the restriction "only in module < 800 W". A device sold in Germany or the Netherlands is not automatically admitted in Belgium: the Belgian grid protection settings (C10/11) differ, and the manufacturer must have the Belgian variant homologated separately. So check before buying whether the specific model is listed. Even a listed plug-in device must be registered with the grid operator; the electrical installation itself remains subject to the AREI. Common mistakes in practice
- Model checked without its suffix –
SUN2000-8KTL-M0andSUN2000-8KTL-M1are different entries. - Firmware not compared – the device is listed but installed with an older version.
- Expired homologation overlooked – Synergrid withdraws entries; the device then appears under "expired".
- Imported from abroad – same name, different country variant without Belgian homologation.
- Battery forgotten – the battery inverter needs a list entry too, not only the PV inverter. See Home battery and AREI.
Check a device in seconds
The Synergrid C10/26 check loads a dated copy of the official list and makes it searchable:
- Type the brand – suggestions show how many models are listed per brand.
- Refine the model – keep typing until the exact model appears; expired entries are flagged.
- Read the result – the table shows firmware, Smax, Pac, phases, application, restrictions and the Synergrid reference; sortable and filterable by phases, segment and status.
- No match? – the tool suggests technically comparable homologated devices of the same power class.

Limits of the tool
The tool is a search aid, not an official statement. The official list on synergrid.be remains authoritative; in case of discrepancy the official list prevails. The tool does not check the electrical installation itself (protection, RCD, cable size, isolator) – that is what the AREI self-check in PlanElec's single-line diagram is for.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to put the Synergrid reference in the registration? Grid operators primarily ask for brand, model and firmware version. The GLV reference is a useful addition but not always unique per model: Synergrid sometimes assigns the same reference to several models. So state the reference and the model designation.
My device is listed, but the entry is "expired" – what now? The homologation has been withdrawn or has lapsed. For new installations the device is no longer admitted; existing installations are generally unaffected. When in doubt, ask the grid operator.
Does the list also apply in Wallonia and Brussels? Yes. C10/11 and C10/26 are Synergrid prescriptions and apply nationwide to all distribution grid operators.
How often does the list change? Synergrid publishes new editions regularly; the tool shows the date of the imported data and shows the date of its data.

A defensible device check, step by step
Start from the label on the device that will actually be installed, not from a webshop title. Record manufacturer, complete model suffix, product reference, rated apparent power and firmware. Hybrid families often contain several power variants, regional variants or firmware branches. A search result that matches only the brand or first part of the name is not enough.
Open the current Synergrid homologation page and download or consult the official list linked there. Match the row field by field. Read restrictions and notes, including permitted modes, external protection, export limitation, storage use or combinations with other components. For plug-and-play equipment, use Synergrid's dedicated Plug & Play information and exact list entry; a normal decentralized-production entry must not be assumed to cover every plug-in configuration.
Save evidence with the project: the row or official reference, list date, firmware seen on site and the date you checked. Recheck before commissioning and notification because the intended device, firmware or official data can change between quotation and installation. If the row is absent, ask the manufacturer or importer to clarify the Belgian homologation and ask the relevant network operator which evidence it accepts. Keep three decisions separate. C10/26 type homologation addresses the network-interface characteristics of the product. The approved control body assesses the electrical installation against the AREI/RGIE. The distribution network operator handles notification and connection conditions. One positive result does not automatically grant the other two.
On the single-line diagram, document the exact inverter and the associated protection, isolation and cable data. Similar rows are not interchangeable
Compare electrical variant, firmware range, Smax and notes as well as model text. Keep the official reference and check date, not only a screenshot. A system combining inverter, battery and external network protection may need several related entries or proofs. Recheck after firmware updates. CE marking is not C10/26 homologation and neither replaces inspection. For zero-export configurations, document the required components and settings; an export limit does not automatically remove network-connection obligations. Clarify edge cases in writing before ordering.
